OBITUARY

Grace spent many of her working years as a Lutheran Church Deaconess. Working as Parish Deaconess at St. Paul Lutheran in Albany, New York, and St. John’s Lutheran, La Grange, Illinois. She also was a Fundraising Campaign Officer for Concordia College, Edmonton, Canada, and ended her career in St. Louis, MO. She retired in 2001 and moved in with her sister Alice at Cedar Community in West Bend.

Grace was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in West Bend.

Those left to cherish Grace’s memory include her sister, Alice Braeger; cousins, and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Grace is preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Braeger-Helgeson.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: A Memorial service for Grace will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 10 a.m., at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 462 Meadowbrook Drive, West Bend, with Pastor Joseph Fisher and Pastor Christopher Raffa officiating the service. A Burial for Grace will take place following the service at Washington County Memorial Park.

Grace’s family and friends would like to thank the hospice staff at Cedar Community Cottages for their wonderful care of Grace.

In lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to Pilgrim Education Endowment Fund.
